This time, it is not the Ganesha drinking milk or Lord Krishna shedding tears; Brahma, the Cosmic creator, decides to send Birth Notes to India. In a startling and somewhat bewildering turn of events, God has chosen to flex His divine sense of humour on India by introducing what's being humorously dubbed as "Cosmic Birth Notes." These whimsical notes are now part of every newborn's welcome package into the world, cheekily hinting at the tentative location of their next life – whether it's a congested slum, a tranquil village, or a buzzing urban locality.
New parents, already overwhelmed by the arrival of their precious newborn, receive an unexpected twist in the form of a sealed envelope – a "Birth Note" unveiling their child's future existence. This existence could range from cow-herding in a rural village to navigating the corporate jungle of a metropolis. It's as if God decided to inject an amusing situational comedy into the ongoing drama of human life.
But here's where the divine punchline takes a poignant turn. These Cosmic Birth Notes aren't mere celestial jests but a cosmic curriculum in empathy. Parents are now encouraged to nurture compassion and understanding in their infants right from the cradle. "Sweetheart, you might share a tiny room with five siblings in a village in your next life. Let's practice sharing plush toys right here, right now."
Fast forward to the future:
We see that instead of learning the alphabet ABCs, the focus has become to make "A Better Community." Today's schools offer "Next Life Preparation" classes where students learn vital life skills like water conservation (not leaving the tap open), Clean surroundings (Do not litter) and waste reduction (Buying little and without packaging).
Sustainable living has become the new societal norm. Inheritance is an ancient history; the future lies in securing a better living planet for the future generation. Suddenly, billions of dollars of personal wealth start moving to the disadvantaged sections of society to take care of the wards of the politicians and businessmen in their next birth destination.
With the newly found "Next Life Foundation" in full swing, a top sports person turned into an entrepreneur is quoted as, " I am spending to build a top-notch playground for my forthcoming life in the slums!" We have a Parliament where politicians have genuinely walked in the shoes of their constituents.
What can we learn from this Divine Prank?
Cosmic Birth Notes have brought divine laughter and life lessons in a world often too serious. They remind us that life, with all its unpredictability, should not be taken too seriously. As we chuckle at this divine prank, we can't help but notice the lessons hidden beneath the laughter. The cosmic birth notes are a reminder that empathy is not just a nice-to-have but an essential attribute for a harmonious society.
In our present-day world, where divisions often overshadow unity, we can take inspiration from this cosmic comedy. We don't need divine notes to remind us to empathise with those less fortunate or different from us. This comedy encourages us to embrace diverse perspectives, appreciating the richness of life. As we raise our children to understand the challenges and joys of different walks of life, we plant seeds for a more compassionate society.
So, while God's cosmic prank initially raised eyebrows, it reminds us that we all share this planet and the experiences that come with it. By embracing empathy and humour, we can create a society where everyone has a chance for a brighter future- with no birth note required.
